Maya Ubud Resort is less 40 km from Ngurah Rai International Airport. A free 2-way shuttle goes to Ubud City Centre from the resort. The resort is a 22-minute drive from Ubud Market and Ubud Palace, while Monkey Forest is a 15-minute drive away.

Wonderful

We had a truly relaxing 2-night stay at this beautiful jungle resort. The setting was serene and surrounded by nature — perfect for unwinding. The service was exceptional, with the butlers Gus Trina, and Gangga going above and beyond to make us feel welcome and well taken care of. From arranging activities to little thoughtful touches, they really made the experience special. Highly recommend this resort for anyone looking to disconnect and recharge in a peaceful, natural setting.

Perfect, beyond all expectations.

Exceptional hotel, one of best I’ve stayed anywhere in the world. Stunning property, fantastic food at various restaurants and service impeccable. Highlight of our trip. Also recommend the ‘Eat Pray Love’ facial and massage package.

Nothing! Coffee took a long time to arrive each day, but was delicious. Minor comment as it’s brilliant hotel.

Spectacular views, Beautiful pool, this place made me love Bali!

everything!!! the resort itself feels unbeatable. The spa was my best time of my life. Rooms are clean and spacious. Staff are friendly (sometimes too friendly that as a european you cannot understand if they are trying to flirt you and this can sometimes intimidate you but overall good). Pools were magnificent, however try to find a place in forest pool in the very early morning since it can be too crowded after noon. Hotel provides many different cultural workshops and dinners.

staff with better english can be hired, language is a barrier there. Breakfast would be better if included more european options rather than asian. They don't know about bali belly and still use ice from filtered water as they said, which is not good since they make us scared from bali belly a lot.

Expencive and luxurious

It is a huge territory in a jungle, with a park, tennis courts, swimming pools . One of the swimming pools is located near the river surrounding by forest. Breakfast is fantastic with choices of balenese and international cuisine

The shuttle bus to the town runs only once an hour and only until 5 pm

Lots of smiling faces and helpful staff, great food and surroundings

Gorgeous landscaping, pools, flower displays, and great food, music and hospitality by staff.

1) Many of the guests took over the pool chairs for hours even when they went to lunch for 1-2 hours… I was told by the pool staff that it was full but i insisted on getting in the pool anyway and had to wait for chairs that were “claimed” as belonging to those who left belongings and returned later. There should be a “no parking” rule as there are more guests than lounge chairs. Guests said things like “you snooze, you lose!” Maybe have a two hour limit and staff to monitor?

Love the expansive lush grounds and the peacefulness of the countryside. The staff were all amazing.

A truly magical and extraordinary stay in a paradise

Words can’t express how we feel about this heaven spot on Earth. A hidden gem in the rainforest.. First of all I would like to express how exceptional this resort is. We started our honeymoon at Maya and it exceeded our highest expectations! We got an incredible room with a private pool with an overview of the rainforest - thank you for that! The stuff was just amazing, words can’t simply express how incredible everyone was. From the very first moment of our arrival to the very last second - top notch! The welcome drink - my absolute favourite! Your kindness, generosity, hospitality is simply outstanding! Special thanks to Gus who looked after us for the whole of our stay. He made sure that our experiences at and outside of the resort were smooth and truly special. It has been a truly magical trip; a trip of a lifetime and we will definitely come back ! It will become a part of our journey forever locked in our hearts and souls. Special thanks to Bogus who served us during our romantic dinner and a lovely and incredible manger of the Tree Cafe Restaurant ( I do apologise for forgetting your name). But we are truly grateful for all the time, attention, care and love we received. It felt like a second come to us. A place is made not by just a beautiful views, but PEOPLE. And Maya Hotel is definitely such a place… I wanted to also emphasise how fantastic this venue is for a romantic gateway. A place where you can disconnect from the business of everyday life and truly reconnect with your Self. There were some families with kids, but we had the intimacy and quiet zone for the whole of the stay. For kids there are special activities. Yoga class is fabulous and truly at its essence. The spa is one of the best I’ve ever been to. We had two treatments and it’s worth every penny. Oh and absolutely glorious food ! Romantic dinner and floating breakfast - a dream come true ! I truly recommend this paradise!

A perfect stay in Ubud.

This really is a beautiful hotel. The rooms are spacious & have every comfort that you need - complete with personal butler service. The butler connects with you both personally & via what’s app so that your every need is catered too. All the staff are gorgeous. So warm & welcoming. The gardens, pools, hotel, restaurants etc are all well maintained & visually beautiful. I really enjoyed the food & as a coeliac I found that it was so easy to eat here & I had loads of choices & the menus are clearly marked. The staff understood my dietary requirements. There is entertainment each evening & there is really no need to leave this hotel. There is however a shuttle bus service to Ubud that runs every hour between 9am & 5pm & the trip only takes 10 minutes. So exploring Ubud is easy. The staff at Maya are all outstanding. I can’t wait to return.

There is nothing to dislike about this property. Plus the personal butler & each staff member cater to your every need. You would only have to ask for something & they would get it for you.

In general - super positive about the complex and would love to go back.

It was all very nice and good. The whole complex was very well maintained and the stuff is super friendly. The price is totally worth it.

The only think that I would like to know in advance - there was a list with activities, some of the marked as free. So we took a photo session, that was marked free. Once showing at the lobby for the session - we've been told that for the free option we are only getting 1 printed picture. If we would like to have the whole photo session - the prices are much higher than expected, of course - you have the option to take only the 1 photo and pay nothing, which is still great! I guess it would be better to be more transparent about it at the list. We would still book the session and enjoy paying for the photos, but this way it just felt that we are being lied.

From the moment we arrived, everything was perfect — the food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented and full of rich Balinese flavors. Every meal felt like a special occasion. The vibes of the resort are just incredible — peaceful, serene, and deeply connected to nature. The sound of the river, the lush greenery, and the elegant design of the resort created such a calming and luxurious atmosphere. The service was beyond excellent. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. You can feel that they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome and pampered at every step. And the views? Breathtaking. Whether it’s the jungle canopy, the river valley, or the perfectly maintained gardens, there’s beauty in every direction. It’s truly a hidden paradise in Ubud. Highly, highly recommend — we’ll definitely be coming back!
